super embarrassed to send my bf off to his big company cookie party with just some sticks and leaves i picked up off the damn ground
--
i used acorn starch in the acorn cookies, the tops are pecan sandies. matcha pie crust cookie leaves (some of which haven't even been wiped free of the morning dew sheesh! 😳) all natural green baby & a buncha broken chocolate cinnamon sticks
Check out the #prosecco #jello #cheesecake moat @pandarah88 & I made for our superbowl party last year! Yes, that's a moat of #blueraspberry prosecco jello.
This event was SUPPOSED to celebrate the winner of our fantasy football league we agreed to play in, but we just made it about us / cheesecake.

Second picture is our first attempt at a strawberry cheesecake ice cream, #champagne & #vanillavodka cocktail - featuring crushed nilla wafers for the rim of the glass, NOT the cheesecake crust, THANK you very much
my ice cream instantly melted (probably bc of its delicate flavors~) but the good news is now I know how to make fake ice cream. the bad news is, i don't feel like it right now, so I'm not doing that. stay melted

One more blast from the past pie pic and then I'm really done. This bad boy was a 5-apple with an apple brandy classic butter crust. I was still practicing my little hand-cut leaves here for Baby's First Thanksgiving (I'm baby).
This was my first time chucking some random spirit or liqueur into a dessert as a binding agent instead of water or milk. It worked out... a little TOO well. That day, an expensive, pandora's box-style upgrade to my new hobby was conceived.
Coming soon: creme de violette & Bailey's-infused marshmallows that are definitely for 21+ only.
When life hands you overbaked cookies (you handed them to yourself, by making them), make chocolate chip cookie crust mini cheesecakes.
This is as quick & easy as it gets without being a straight-up no bake. A baby could make this. A baby did make this, in about 20 minutes, while crying over burning her own cookies.
Yes, I deleted my previous post and took all new pics because I hated them. Get to know me.
New #glutenfree & #lowfodmap #cake recipe up at Let That Digest! bit.ly/3iDhkbL
This sucker is a #raspberry fake buttermilk cake (you know, for the fodmaps). Surprisingly quick & easy, this #lastminutecake is the perfect solution to a few leftover raspberries, an egg, cup a milk, and your most basic pantry ingredients - if your solution to leftover berries isn't just popping them in your mouth like I normally do.
My very first 'real photograh' pie pic I had commissioned for a flier during my first few months of baking - tonight we're celebrating the blog going live by not cooking anything!
This one was a #pearcranberry #pie. The crust? I don't even remember. My friend Shane Greb took this picture for me in 2010 (he got to keep the pie).
Even though I burned the edge bad, Shane made it look so good. Maybe too good. I was hanging my flier at a Thundercloud Subs and an old lady stopped me and said I should only use pictures of pies I *actually* made myself.
Another pic from Back In The Day! This was my first #blueberrymaple #allbuttercrust pie. This ended up being my best selling fruit pie even though I had to charge about $30 just to break even on the #maplesyrup and 7 cups of fresh #blueberries. That used to be a lot of money!
If you read my last #pie post, you know this was made in the summer, in Texas with no air conditioning. Psycho baker vibes only.
Anyone who's made anything with all-butter crust (that is, no shortening no cream cheese to stabilize the dough & forgive you for letting it warm), will know I was sitting there in the heat, hand-cutting crust leaves with a paring knife two at a time, taking the dough in and out of the freezer so it wouldn't melt. Where did the energy come from? It sure wasn't the money. I made about $4 on this thing. But that's how I was able to try baking, making stuff at cost to practice.
well I guess it turned out okay, also here's all the other junk I made. if you're Kerry's friend in Irvine text him to get a plate dropped to yaz
no filter on that first pic, it really is that yella from being all-butter
*croissant dough brie bites w cranberry & cherry pepper jam
*gb casserole w homemade mushroom soup & buttermilk fried shallots
*potato & leek gratin
*cranscrause w ginger & black pepper but you can't taste that stuff in it so who cares, maybe next year
*cranberry orange mulled wine
*apple pie & vanilla custard (also pecan pie & pumpkin sweet potato pie, I lost my mind this week I don't know why I'm like this)
*burkey hams I guess (air fried lemon rosemary drumsticks w my chicken infused bbq sauce)...
It's not too late to place that socially distant grocery order and make my #bombpopdaquiris tomorrow! But it IS too late to throw a gathering around it. Not this year, buddy. Stay inside and party with your partner or pet! I've changed the rules for 2020, so in case you didn't hear yet: drinking a cocktail is a party. Picking up my prescriptions together in the car is a date.
I'm a baker not a bartender (😢) so recipe is in tablespoons and cups. This should make about 4 servings of #daiquiri
1.5 cups white rum
3 tablespoons blue curaçao
1 cup lime juice (fresh would be great but like, I get it)
3 tbsp simple syrup
1.5 cups frozen #strawberries
Ice (4-6 cups if you're buying crushed ice for the day - crushed makes it easier if you're blender isn't a powerful monster, too)
Layer 1: Blend blue curaçao, 1/3 rum, 1/3 cup lime juice, 2-2.5 cups ice. Pour into glasses. Keep glasses in freezer throughout recipe, except to pour new layers.
Layer 2: Blend 1/3 rum, 1/3 cup lime, 1.5 (2??) tbsp simple syrup, 2-2.5 cups ice. Layer into glasses (pour slowly for defined layers!)
Layer 3: Blend 1/3 rum, 1/3 cup lime, frozen strawberries, 1.5 tbsp simple syrup. Add crushed ice & blend again until layer-able consistency. Layer on top and garnish with bomb pops!

Easily cut this in half if y'all only want 2 drinks, but you'll probably want another. Freeze extra drinks until ready to #slurp
10 years ago, I was 22 selling pies to order out of my crooked, no-AC-having rental in Austin, Texas. I had the oven going all day every day, and it was summer. I made my first peach raspberry pie, and I went ahead and made two - knowing I loved the flavor profile, hoping to get a good pic for my fliers.
It looked like guts!
But I was proud of my name and phone number in the crusts so I snapped some pics anyway, just for me - to remain hidden away until this stroll down memory lane.
I've learned so much since then, and this year I've started relearning it all - to recreate all my old favorites for my #glutenfree and #lowfodmap partner. And now you I guess, because he's making me post them.
If you're seeing this, you're one of my friends who's followed me to support me even BEFORE I go live with my first three recipes this weekend. Thank you so much! I'm really excited to share my newfangled all-time favorites and upcoming discoveries with you.
lmao at these adorable sonic & tails cakes from sage hamilton's 8th birthday like, 10 years ago. i was so moved that a kid was playing my favorite game from when i was his age. this is the second birthday cake i'd made, and I still have like, zero experience with icing basically. but i tried real hard on this and colored my own icing and it's all just cake and cream cheese icing. milesy♡ is lemon with lemon cream cheese and sonic is strawberry with cream cheese (i think...)
in honor of Sonic 2 coming out (HUSH), i am now posting this silly birthday cake set from 10 years ago for the first time, because it seems to fit with this new account I've made for video game food. like, just barely but
it's just soooo wild to me this was my favorite game for Sega Genesis as a 7-9 year old, over a decade later I'm baking a kid a cake because it's the theme of their birthday party? and now another decade later a freakin movie is coming out. how is this still a thing? yet, i'm so so glad it is because the soundtrack to that game is still one of the best things that ever happened to me
please comment on any of my posts and tell me what you'd like me to make next, anything vaguely food & video game related. i made that pie but i have no idea what to do next 😭 please help & support so I can bring to life dream of bringing video game stuff to life with sugary food no one needs. love u 🖤💖🍭🌛🎀
closeup shot of my spicy #dragonpie I did that my other post goes into more detail about. spent my weekend making this bad boy both in game and IRL so, I'm very cool and my life has meaning
also some closer shots of my spicy dragonfruit #frozenmargarita with a nice slice
2 diced honeycrisp apples, equal parts leftover orange ginger cranberry sauce & cherry pepper cranberry jam; sweet & zingy with a lil kick of heat and cider vinegar sandwiched between a couple buttery crunchy comforts~
easily made with any whole berry sauce and no jam; I just wanted to try it spicy at 10pm last night when I decided I wanted this. I'm glad I did, I really like it.
I have like 5 followers and I haven't posted this yet so just DM me and I'll give you the recipe based on whatever you have around, it's easy af
*UPDATE* recipe is now up, link in bio (pepper jam is not up yet but it will be soon, or just DM me)
